It's been an amazing start to 2018 with all kinds of different opportunity flowing my way. From purchasing a one-way plane ticket to the United Kingdom to launching season two of my PODCAST (the increase in my business fees were a nice touch as well.) You truly can have whatever it is you want in this life. I often think of how much time I spent grinding away night after night in my business and how lonely it became.

I think it's interesting when you decide to live life on your terms whether that's quitting the corporate job, starting your own business, writing a book, starting a podcast, becoming a speaker, traveling across the world, becoming the mother or father or husband or wife you always knew you could, the list goes on and on. We get one shot at this thing called life.

We dream, we seek greatness, we seek opportunity.

For me, I couldn't bear the thought of living a life of regret. I couldn't imagine that as I approach the final years of life looking back and feeling like I could have done more (yikes.)

Thinking like this in my early twenties really lit a fire under my ass. I knew inside my heart that I was meant for big things. I knew there was a bigger reason for why I was put on this earth.

What I learned is this, when you want something bad enough you get it. You do not have time to rehearse ideas of how "NOT" to get what you want. I remember those day's (and I still have to snap myself out of self-doubt every now and again) when I would spend the majority of my time thinking my way "out" of something rather than "just doing it." Before I move to the next part of the write-up, I want you to ask yourself something.

Do you do what you say? Are you a man or woman of your word? Do you spend time challenging people and yourself, immediately thinking of the infinite ways they or you "CANT" do something?

Here is the thing you need to know about life.

Your words are everything.

The relationship with your words and how you use them will make you or break you in life.

Over the last three weeks, I have had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with a Game Changer, a Leader. Some of you may already know her and follow her (if you are not you should.) She is not only a TEDx speaker and featured in Forbes, she is also an incredible woman who helps the ladies and gents of the world step up and turn their dreams into a reality. Her name is Stacey Sargison (check her out HERE.)

Why am I writing this? Why does this matter?

I remember when I first started my business in 2015. I hired a coach, saved some money, came up with a plan and just went for it. The outcome has been an epic business where I can travel whenever, where ever I want helping people around the world turn their own dreams into a reality.

After a few years of learning and growing, there was something that stuck out the most for me regarding my success.

Yes, I have done "A LOT" over the last couple of years. From traveling the world to speaking internationally to creating and hosting the Grow Your Hustle Podcast and working with amazing people.

When you step up and go after your dreams it is so important to surround yourself with people who are doing it. Make sure to find the people who are already doing what you want and figure out a way to surround yourself with them. The fastest way to do this in my experience is to hire them. Reach out and see if they are taking on anyone one on one and politely ask them what their fee is. Another way you could do it is by taking the time to develop a relationship with them, add value by engaging in their posts and showing up. Figure out how to get their attention and over time, who knows, you may be able to get a call with them that will change your life.

Here's the thing though. If you lack skill in communication then it doesn't matter how many phone calls or meet-ups you have with these people because you won't be able to effectively share your ideas, thoughts or message with them.

This brings me to the title of this write up "Communicating with a Leader."

Outside of travel, I spend most of my days learning and collaborating with like-minded people. This has allowed me to become an effective communicator. I am now comfortable asking what used to be difficult questions. I am able to be present and provide my full attention to people. This has literally changed my life. Not only with my personal relationships but also in my professional life as well.

Being an effective communicator allows me to powerfully coach aspiring leaders and entrepreneurs of today's world. It allows me to learn and grow and a rapid rate. It allows me NOT to go at this journey of life alone.

By effectively communicating with people you can save lots of time. Your time is so important!

When communicating with a Leader your life changes. You become more of a leader than you could ever imagine.

The results of communicating with a Leader:

- Feel understood and heard
- Massive Breakthroughs in both your business and personal life
- Increase in energy
- Increase in Motivation and inspiration
- More focused action
- Faster results
- Up-Leveling
- Increase in overall success
- Overcome fear and limitations

The above results are real. The above ingredients put's you in the driver seat.

This is a recipe that gets you to where you want to go in life.

You can have this right now. You can finally get out of your own way and make a choice.

It's the new year and people's new year's resolutions are already fading. How many of us are stepping back into our "old ways" and settling?

Another thing I like about spending time with Leaders is that you are always growing. There is no such thing as mediocrity thus you get to create more of what you want in life.

Leader's know the importance of "working together" and learning.

It's time to make this year special. It's time to step up and do something that scares you. The best version of yourself is on the other side of what you fear. Dare to dream big and make a change.

Stop selling yourself short.

You get to find the Leader within yourself and change the world.
